Job SummaryThe Academy Charter School custodian will clean and maintain school facility to ensure a safe, secure and comfortable environment conducive to student learning.
The custodian will uphold the mission and values established by the school.
ResponsibilitiesClean classrooms, rest rooms, hallways, multipurpose room, offices and all interior rooms during the dayFloor care including mopping, stripping and waxingDaily trash removal and cleaning of all receptaclesSet up and cleans dining area before, between, and during breakfast and/or lunch periodsRespond to emergency cleanups during the dayPerform routine grounds-keeping duties, including picking up litter, maintenance of sidewalk areas, and salting of sidewalk Sets up and arranges furniture for assemblies, meetings and special eventsSecure, protect and ensure the proper usage and maintenance of all custodial equipment Assist with shipping and receiving of packages, parcels and large itemsLight moving and carpentryOpen and close facilities and provide access to classrooms or offices during the normal school week, after hours, and occasionally weekends as directedPerform walk through of the facility during the day in order to ensure the building and the outer perimeters are clean and safe; ensure all bathrooms are properly stocked at all timesPerform other related duties as required and assignedDemonstrate knowledge of, and support of the schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behaviourPay Transparency:
The hourly range for this role is $16.

Base pay offered may vary within the posted range based on several factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
